Five more salmon were taken yesterday, including a fine 11.75-pounder for James Wright who was a participant on Peter O’Reilly’s advanced salmon and trout fishing course. The fish took a beaded nymph on the Turn Pool, which also yielded a 5.5-pounder for for Edward Westropp. Other course participants were also successful – Adrian Ricard had a 4.5 pounder off Doolough and Jim Firn bagged a 2-pounder from the Horseshoe Pool. Regular visitor David Rainford also caught a 2.5-pounder on Doolough.
